There has been close to 5" of rainfall in many parts of Shelby County this afternoon.  Officially, 4.69" of rainfall as of 4:45pm.  It appears most of the rain will shift to the east this evening. 

A Tornado Watch is still in effect for our western counties until 2am; however, there is a good chance that this watch may be discontinued early, as the storms across east Mississippi are having a hard time holding together, and the situation looks to be calming down.  As of 10 PM we are seeing a large band of rain along and east of I65, and another smaller area of rain bounded by I20 and US Hwy 82 in west Alabama.  Rain should continue throughout the night, and flooding will remain the primary concern through the overnight into tomorrow morning.

Tonight: Mostly cloudy with storms after midnight. Low 58. Winds SE 5-10.
Tomorrow: Morning thunderstorms. High 72. Winds SW 8-15.
