Overnight update - expect the heaviest rain to track south of I-20. We'll have periods of heavy rain and a few thunderstorms. We may have a few gusty winds associated with these storms and some lightning...but storms should remain below severe weather threat levels.
Rain chances will be around 100% tomorrow with heavy rain possible and a few strong to severe storms tomorrow afternoon/evening. Highs tomorrow will reach the mid to upper 60s. The best chance for severe storms would be west of I-65. We may see another round of strong storms tomorrow night into early Thursday morning. Instability may still be lacking in regards to this system. At this point, the severe threat appears marginal, but something that will still have to be watched. I think the primary threats will be hail and gusty winds...although an isolated tornado can not be ruled out. The most active part of the country tomorrow will be Arkansas.
After the system exists Thursday, expect mostly cloudy conditions with highs in the lower 70s. Friday through early next week looks dry and mild.
Tonight: Rain and a few storms. Low 57. Winds S 5-10.
Tomorrow: Thunderstorms likely. A few strong tomorrow PM. High 66. Winds SE 5-10.
