Chizik: AU not living in past

AUBURN, Ala. (AP) - Auburn coach Gene Chizik is sticking to his philosophy of looking ahead, not behind.

Chizik said Tuesday the Tigers aren't dwelling on last year's 36-0 loss to Alabama as they prepare for Friday's Iron Bowl.

Auburn faced frequent questions about last year's season-ending slump during a 3-game losing streak earlier in this season. Chizik says he didn't worry about the players having those issues then and isn't now.

Auburn receiver Kodi Burns - the Tigers' quarterback in last year's game - says last year "was a big mess" and this team is different.

Linebacker Craig Stevens says they don't talk about it much, but watched tape of the game to remember how they felt. He says it does supply some motivation.
