Assistant principal arrested

BIRMINGHAM, AL (WBRC) - An assistant principal in the Birmingham City Schools has been arrested.

Bessemer police said Michael Scott, the assistant principal at Wenonah High School, was arrested Friday on two outstanding misdemeanor warrants.

Police said Scott was arrested after officers responded to a domestic violence call.

A spokesperson for the Birmingham City Schools system said system leaders were investigating.
