WASHINGTON (AP) - President Barack Obama is heading to Capitol Hill to meet with Democratic lawmakers on Saturday - the day before a crucial vote on his health care overhaul.
Obama wants to make a last push for his top domestic priority after more than a year of debate.
White House officials said the House Democratic caucus would meet with the president at 3 p.m. EDT Saturday. Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid also is expected be there.
House lawmakers plan to vote Sunday on the sweeping health care bill. Democratic leaders say they will have the votes to pass it, despite united Republican opposition and last-minute disagreements among Democrats.
