Call For
Action: File A Complaint
If you are trying to contact the Call For Action team to file a complaint or get help solving your problem, contact the Call For Action team with the form below. Note: if you want to volunteer with Call For Action, please scroll down the page for instructions.
Call For Action is a free service provided by FOX6 WBRC-TV. Volunteer professionals at our TV station are trained to assist consumers through mediation and education to resolve problems with businesses, government agencies, and other organizations. Our services are free and confidential and available to all individuals and small businesses.
When a consumer contacts Call For Action, a volunteer listens as the problem is described - that same volunteer continues working with the consumer until a resolution is secured. The volunteer will contact the company or agency directly to promote dispute resolution. Call For Action works cooperatively with state and federal agencies to help track and combat scams. Information collected by Call For Action on trends and new frauds affecting consumers may be used by FOX6 News in news reports.
For each visitor to this web page, we collect only information volunteered by the consumer, such as survey information. The information we collect is used for internal review. It may be used to improve the content of our web page and is not shared with other organizations for commercial purposes.
To contact the FOX6 Call For Action team, call (205) 583-4321 between the hours of 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. Monday through Friday. Volunteers will only be available to take your call during those hours.
You can also file a complaint anytime of the day or night by filling out and submitting the online form below.
Call For
Action Volunteers
The
Call For Action office is staffed entirely by dedicated volunteers. These
volunteers give the consumers a non-threatening place to turn to, act as a
neutral third party, and offer them guidance from start to finish.
What
do we need volunteers for?
Volunteers
are needed to help resolve consumer complaints, either by mediation or
referral.
What
does it take to be a CFA volunteer?
The
most important qualification is a sincere desire to help people resolve
consumer problems they have been unable to resolve themselves. You need
to be available from 10am to 3pm on the same day each week to come in and
volunteer. We ask that you make a
one-year commitment to the program, and participants must be at least 18 years
old.
Do
you provide training?
Yes. Our development team provides the training necessary to become a volunteer
professional.
How
much time would I need to spend each week?
Volunteers devote a few hours, one day a week, usually from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Where
is the office?
