Mayor's Office Division of Youth Services
Each spring, Birmingham youth are invited to apply for age-appropriate employment opportunities through the Kids & Jobs Program. This year, students between the ages of 14 and 21 years old will be working in public, private and nonprofit sectors of the business community. Youth who are hired through the program go to work during the summer months.

Summer Executive Internship Application Deadline
The SEI Program gives 16 to 21 year old students an opportunity to gain experience in their chosen career path. Submit the SEI applications to our office: City of Birmingham Mayor's Office Division of Youth Services, 1608 7th Avenue North, Birmingham, AL 35203

14 & 15 Year-Old Application & Interview Session
Fair Park Arena / Doors Open: 8:00am - Doors Close: 9:00am
Participating students will receive first-time exposure to the workplace. Youth who are allowed to enter the application and interview process on May 3rd must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian. To be considered for employment, students must submit a completed application packet during the interview session.
