Posted: Updated:

GADSDEN, AL (WBRC) – A Gadsden man has been sentenced to death by lethal injection.

Circuit Judge David Kimberly handed down the sentence to Timothy Boyle on Friday morning.

Boyle was convicted in November 2009 of the 2005 death of two-year-old Savannah White in Rainbow City.

While giving the sentence, Judge Kimberly noted Boyle's "rough life" and his "missed chances to get on the right path."

The mother of Savannah White will also go on trial for her daughter's death.
