Four Alabama teachers receive high honors

MONTGOMERY, AL (WBRC) – Four Alabama teachers have been named as finalists for the Presidential Awards for Excellence in Mathematics and Science Teaching (PAEMST) – the nation's highest honors for K-12 mathematics and science teachers.

Cathy Bennett from Geneva High School, Sondra Oswalt from Oxford High School, Cheryl Adams from Liberty Middle School and Megan O'Neill of Fairhope High School were all named to be Alabama's Finalists.

The four teachers were honored by the Board of Education on March 5th at an awards luncheon.
