BIRMINGHAM, AL (WBRC) - Luther Strange was declared the winner to become the new Attorney General of Alabama.
The Associated Press declared Strange would win the election at about 10:00 p.m. Tuesday. Strange, with 60 percent of the precincts reporting, had 56 percent of the votes in the election to 44 percent for James Anderson.
Strange replaces Troy King, who was defeated in the Republican primary for re-election.
