Editorial: Legislature Priorities

The following is an editorial from FOX6 WBRC-TV General Manager Lou Kirchen, first aired on Tuesday, February 15, 2011:

In many ways, this will be an historic year for our state legislature.  It will be the first post Civil War state legislature, where both the Senate and the House will be Republican-controlled…the first under the new lobbying rules…the first under our new governor, Dr. Bentley…the first since the recent arrests of some of our state lawmakers. Will this latest group of legislators be about reform…about change? 

The session begins Tuesday, March 1st.  What do you think their priorities should be?  Which issues should they tackle first?  Let me know.
