TUSCALOOSA, AL (WBRC) -
Air Force One touched down in Tuscaloosa at approximately 10 a.m. Friday April 29. President Obama and first lady Michelle Obama shook hands and met with state and local officials before beginning their official tour of the damaged areas with Alabama's Governor Robert Bentley.
The President will survey the destruction of the deadly tornadoes that ripped through the state Wednesday, killing more than 300 people throughout the Southeast, with Alabamians accounting for more than 200 of those fatalities. He will also meet with some of the survivors of the deadly tornadoes during his visit to Alabama.
