Four arrested in Pleasant Grove for looting

Four Florida men were arrested Monday in Pleasant Grove on charges of looting.

The Jefferson County Sheriff's Office, in a statement Monday to FOX6 News, said the following men were arrested around noon Monday:

Anthony Dale Haislip, 31, from Sarasota, Florida
Christopher Don Elmore, 36, from Bradenton, Florida
Jon Robert Berube, 24, from Sarasota, Florida
Christopher Bryant Ramsey, 21, from Sarasota, Florida

The Sheriff's department said deputies caught the men in Pleasant Grove looting tornado victims' houses and stealing from Alabama Power. Each man was posing as a relief contractor.

Deputies said they found copper wiring and a door from a victim's house.

The men were each charged with burglary, theft of property, and possession of burglary tools. In addition, deputies said they found Haislip in possession of Oxycontin and charged him with possession of a controlled substance.

Haislip was being held Monday on $250,000 bond, while the other three were being held on $200,000 bond.
