HOOVER, AL (WBRC) -
NBA great Charles Barkley is known well for his terrible golf swing. During the pro-am of the Regions Tradition at Shoal Creek, Barkley broke records and his driver as his swing broke the clubhead off and sent it sailing further than his ball.
After playing partner Fuzzy Zoeller suggested his auction the clubhead off for charity, Barkley decided to do just that.
The clubhead is signed and has been donated to the PGA TOUR Charities to be auctioned off for charity. The bidding ends May13th.
Barkley borrowed another driver from fellow Auburn collegiate athlete Bo Jackson to finish the round.
