
Two recent tornado-related deaths in Tuscaloosa bring the county's total number of tornado fatalities to 43.
A 22-year-old named Arielle Edwards died June 1 in the ICU of DCH hospital from her injuries she received from the tornado. Her daughter, five-year-old Makayla Edwards, died in the tornado on April 27.
Edward's death is the 43rd tornado-related fatality from Tuscaloosa County. Earlier on Wednesday, Tuscaloosa officials confirmed a 42nd fatality with the death of 85-year-old William Robert McPherson, who passed away Sunday due to his injuries from the storm.
The total number of fatalities in Alabama from the tornado now stands at 240.
