BESSEMER, AL (WBRC) -

A 14-year-old teenager has been charged in the fight that broke out between groups of teenagers at the Alabama Adventure water park on Monday. Bessemer police responded to the scene and have charged the teen with inciting a riot. They say no shots were fired and no weapons were found on those involved in the fight. One person had to be treated at the hospital due to the fight.

As a result, the park has plans to change its current security plans and will also no longer offer a $10 summer promotion deal.

"Absolutely, I think on busy days, Saturdays, you'll see a larger presence of security at the front gate and through the park," EJ Randolph, general manager of the amusement park, said.

Randolph also said he had a conversation with his staff after the fight broke out. Due to the disturbance and other financial concerns, the amusement park will no longer offer the special $10 before 10 a.m. ticket promotion.

Despite the fight, the amusement park saw a steady stream of visitors on Wednesday.
