Alabama Representative Juandalynn Givan pre-filed a bill dubbed "Caylee's Law" today at the House of Representatives.
The bill makes it a felony for a parent, legal guardian or caretaker to fail to notify law enforcement of the death of their child, accidental or otherwise, within one hour of the child's death being discovered or known about.
Caylee's law would also make it a felony for a parent, legal guardian or caretaker to fail to notify authorities of the disappearance of a child within 24 hours.
