The Greystone 5K and Lori Johnson 1 mile fun run benefited the Norma Livingston Ovarian Cancer Foundation.
This was the 7th year for the 5K race and fun run.
The race was held in memory of Lori Johnson, a member of the community who was
diagnosed with stage 4 ovarian cancer in 2005. She died 8 months later.
Since it started, the event has raised more than $80,000. Each year they raise between $15,000 and $20,000, but this year organizers say they will raise more than $20,000.
All proceeds go to Norma Livingston Ovarian Cancer Foundation which supports important ovarian cancer research.
The event was hosted by Greystone Golf and Country Club - the two fitness directors at the Club co-direct this event every year in memory of Lori.
Winners got cash prizes and each age group got gift cards to Edgars Bakery.
FOX6 News anchor Beth Shelburne served as this year's emcee.
