COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) - Columbus police have released more details in the murder investigation of a young Columbus mother.

Lonnie Ragan is charged in the shooting death of his sister-in-law Holly Hearn in the front yard of her Billings Court home August 26.

Detectives say they have found the possible murder weapon.

Harris County investigators were given a trash bag containing a shotgun believed to have been used in the murder. It was in the possession of an individual in the Melody Lakes area of Waverly Hall.

Authorities also discovered three explosive devices in the bag.  Bomb techs and Homeland Security officials were able to disarm the devices.

Evidence was taken by the GBI to see if anything is related to the murder.

No additional charges have been filed against Ragan, but that could change if police can determine the explosive devices were taken to Columbus.

Ragan remains in jail without bond.
