A federal judge in Montgomery has just issued a temporary restraining order that prevents the state from verifying your immigration status if you're trying to renew your registration decal for a mobile home.
Several undocumented aliens had sued to stop the state from enforcing that part of the new immigration law.
Those decals are due on Oct. 1 and considered late after Nov. 30.
Judge Myron Thompson has just issued an order instructing the state not to require immigration verification for mobile home owners renewing those decals until at least Dec. 7.
The order also instructs the state to tell all county officials across Alabama to do the same.
