An investigation into a major house fire has firefighters suspicious.
A house on Sterlingwood Drive in Mountain Brook caught on fire around 3
p.m. Thursday, Dec. 22. There are no reports of injuries. The homeowners
were not at the residence at the time of the fire, according to
neighbors.
Firefighters have been patrolling the home on Sterlingwood Drive around the clock to make sure flames do not flare up again. The blaze shot through the roof and neighbors could only watch as firefighters work to save the Mountain Brook home.
Firefighters kept water on two other homes to make sure the flames would not spread
On Monday, firefighters were called out to the same home for a basement fire. After the first fire, the power was shut off to the home. To get a call that the upstairs was on fire definitely surprised even firefighters.
The investigation into this fire is ongoing.
