The Childersburg High School girls basketball team is playing with a heavy heart after the loss of their head coach, Lin Slater.
This comes after allegations of damaged property in a locker room at an away game January 27.
It's alleged the Childersburg girls damaged Cleburne's locker room after a win. In the days following, Slater was put on temporary leave. During a meeting with Talladega County school board members Monday morning, Superintendent Dr. Susan Lacey made the decision to reassign Slater's duties.
