BIRMINGHAM,AL (WBRC) - The Jefferson County Sheriff's department is reporting the vehicle of the Forestdale shooting suspect has been located.
Edmund Reed 34 years old of Birmingham was shot and killed on the parking lot of a convenience store in the 1000 Block of Forestdale Blvd shortly after 2:00 p.m. today.
Information obtained by detectives led them to believe the suspect is Derrick Wayne Murray of Dora. Sheriff Deputies contacted Dora police, who went to the address of the suspect and located the 2008 silver Dodge Magnum that left the scene of the shooting. Murray reportedly fled to another area.
The investigation is still on-going. Deputies are still searching for the suspect.
