CALL FOR ACTION - Consumer Credit Counselors joined us in the  Call for Action center to take viewer questions about their credit - how to repair it, how to check it, and more! If you have questions, call us at 205-583-4321. The Counselors were on hand  to take questions until 8:30am.

JEH JEH LIVE - Big Machines Day at the McWane Science Center is this Saturday from 10am until 4pm. The cost is included in cost of admission to the museum and is free for members. Get your motors running and head over to McWane Science Center for a truckload of fun. Spend a constructive day getting up close and personal with some big machines including backhoes, excavators, dump trucks, loaders, dozers and cranes! GARDENING - Fred Spicer, Executive Director of the Birmingham Botanical Gardens, joined us to discuss the upcoming Spencer Lecture. The 14th annual Spencer Lecture will be held on Thursday, March 8 at 6:30 p.m. in the Linn-Henley Lecture Hall, with a reception to be held prior from 5:30 - 6:30 p.m. This free annual event brings award-winning and New York Times best selling author Andrea Wulf to Birmingham Botanical Gardens for an intriguing talk titled "Founding Gardeners: The Revolutionary Generation, Nature, and the Shaping of the American Nation." This beautifully illustrated talk looks at the lives of the founding fathers and how their attitude toward plants, gardens, nature and agriculture shaped the American nation. In a unique retelling of the creation of America, Wulf will show how plants, politics and personalities intertwined as never before. Guests will have a chance to meet Ms. Wulf at a reception in the Hodges Room at 5:30 p.m. prior to his lecture, where she will also be signing copies of her books, including Founding Gardeners: The Revolutionary Generation, Nature and the Shaping of the American Nation.
