CLAY,ALABAMA (WBRC) - The Jefferson County Sheriff's Office has charged a 14 year old Clay Chalkville High School student with rape.
The student is accused of rape in the 1st degree for a rape that occurred last October. The incident was
reporter to police in January 2011. The victim told police she was raped while at school. She says she forgot her cell
phone in an earlier class and was given permission to retrieve it. Surveillance cameras show that as the victim was
returning to class, the suspect pulled her into the boy's restroom.
The suspect was suspended pending the outcome of the investigation. The suspect's attorney is expected to
surrender him to juvenile detention.
