Identities of mother-daughter victims of fatal wreck released

MORRIS, AL (WBRC) -

A one car accident took the life of a mother and daughter Sunday, Feb. 19 in Jefferson County.

Thirty-year-old Nicole Bates of Fultondale was driving a 2003 Oldsmobile Aero on Castle Heights Road near Morris. She and her six-year-old daughter Ashlyn Bates were killed in the single car accident around 6:10 p.m. Sunday evening.

The cause of the accident is still under investigation.
