AUBURN, AL (WBRC) -
Auburn linebacker Jawara White is no longer playing football for Auburn.
The news came in the following statement issued Thursday by Auburn head football coach Gene
Chizik
"Jawara White has sustained an injury that will no longer
allow him to play football. Although this is disappointing for Jawara, our
medical staff, his family and our coaching staff all agree that this is in his
best interest. At Auburn, our top priority is and will always be the health and
welfare of our student-athletes. Jawara will continue to work toward receiving
his degree from Auburn and will always be a part of our Auburn family."
