(RNN) – The Seminole County Court has released audio from six jailhouse phone calls between George Zimmerman and his wife, Shelly, who was arrested and charged with perjury.

Shelly Zimmerman is accused of lying to a Seminole County judge about the couple's finances, which resulted in a lower bail for George Zimmerman.

Some of the audio from the phone calls, which the prosecution used to show she lied to the court, were released during Shelly Zimmerman's June 12 bond hearing.

George Zimmerman is the neighborhood watch captain who shot and killed unarmed teenager Trayvon Martin in February, claiming self-defense. His bond was revoked when it was revealed that he had more than $200,000 in a PayPal account administered through the website, TheRealGeorgeZimmerman.com.

The site has since been taken down.

Shelly Zimmerman said she knew of the website, but not how much money was in it. The prosecution alleges the couple spoke to each other in code during these conversations, and it was clear Shelly knew how much money was in the account.

"Our position is [that the] defendant misled the court," according to Bernardo de la Rionda, of the state attorney's office.

George Zimmerman, 28, was arrested April 11 and charged with second-degree murder, weeks after the shooting death of Martin, 17, on Feb. 26.

George Zimmerman faces life in prison and up to $10,000 in fines.
