One injured in overnight shooting

BIRMINGHAM, AL (WBRC) -

Birmingham police are investigating an overnight shooting on Monday morning. It happened at 9th Avenue South and 23rd Street South just after 11 p.m. on Sunday.

One man was shot. He was taken to UAB Hospital. There is no word on his condition.

The suspect fled the scene and remains on the run this morning. If you have any information, contact Birmingham police.
