BIRMINGHAM, AL (WBRC) -

The Birmigham Bomb Squad was called to a home in the Huffman area today to remove two live grenades.

Officers responded to the residence on Jeffery Lane where they successfully and safely removed the grenades this afternoon.

The weapons apparently belonged to an elderly homeowner who has since moved out.
