TRUSSVILLE, AL (WBRC) -

Trussville City Board of Education unanimously passed a motion Monday night to finalize negotiations with Superintendent Suzanne Freeman for her to step down from her position. Board President Bill Roberts said the negotiations are almost 100% finalized. Freeman was not in attendance at the regularly scheduled board meeting.

The board announced it will hold a special-called meeting Wednesday morning at 7 a.m. They plan to discuss personnel decisions involving the superintendent position as well as principal and assistant principal positions.

The board announced on July 3rd that Hewitt-Trussville High School Principal Zack Barnes had resigned. Barnes was the high school's fourth principal in seven years.
