Chocolate iced, lemon filled, or the original glazed: we all have our favorite Krispy Kreme flavor and dozens of doughnut fans turned out Friday to celebrate the flavors and the doughnut maker's birthday.
To celebrate the birthday milestone, Krispy Kreme had a special promotion: buy a dozen doughnuts and get the second dozen for 75 cents.
The store on Highway 31 in Hoover sold out of some of the crème filled flavors Friday due to the special. A store employee says they normally sell about 200 dozen a day and she expects the Hoover location to sell 2,000 dozen on Friday.
