BIRMINGHAM, AL (WBRC) -

When "The Birmingham News" cuts service this fall, will your bill be cut too? FOX6 News Consumer Reporter Ronda Robinson began looking into the issue after receiving an email from a FOX6 viewer named Sam.

He recently got his renewal notice for August but he feels like it is too high.

"They are going from seven days a week to three days a week and charging the same amount," he said.

Ronda shared Sam's complaint with the "The Birmingham News." Vicki Rosetti-Applewhite, VP Strategy and Marketing for Alabama Media Group, issued this response:

When the change in publication cycle takes effect, the amount billed for a full-price, three-day subscription will be less than the current amount billed for a full-price, seven-day subscription. We encourage subscribers who have questions about their specific situation to call our customer care center at 205-325-4444 or contact us by email at customercare@bhamnews.com.
