
Traffic backed up for miles as the accident scene was cleared. Source: WBRC videoState troopers said today that a distracted driver caused a double fatal accident along Highway 231 in St. Clair County.
The accident occurred June 19 near milemarker 213. Troopers say the 17-year-old driver was distracted by his cellphone and not paying attention to the roadway. He has not been charged in the accident.
Two adults were killed in the accident and three others, including a 2-year-old child, were injured.
