Earlier this year, the teens competed in a scavenger hunt and quiz competition to win a paid summer internship with six leading local businesses.
The businesses bid for the right to choose the interns and the one with the top dollar bid in our process had first pick. The business with the lowest dollar bid had the last pick.
In ascending order this year's picks were:

Skin Wellness Center of Alabama: Viny Memula from Oak Mountain High School
BBVA Compass: Jonathan Smith from Homewood High School
Vulcan Materials: Joshua Holmes from Wenonah High School
Jefferson Credit Union :James Deese from Huffman High School
YMCA of Birmingham: Kaitlin Gohn from Mortimer-Jordan
