The incident happened Thursday morning. Jarrold Starks and his daughters were actually sleeping while the burglars slipped inside and took their TV. No one woke up while the burglars were in the house, but they did wake up to find a large TV missing.
Starks immediately went to look at his security camera video and instantly knew he one of the burglars was: a friend of his son, Keeshon Spencer.
"Out of all the people I didn't have a thought in my mind it was him," Spencer said. "I was with him last week. We were all at the gym playing basketball."
Starks installed the cameras about a month ago.
"There had been a lot of break ins in the the neighborhood. I was just being ahead of the game," Starks said.
As for the TV the thieves walked off with, Starks already has it back. He knew where Spencer's friend lived and headed right over before 6 p.m. Thursday.
"I told him I got you on camera man...where's my TV at? He said, 'I got a TV in the back seat, it's mine.' I took it from him and came back home," Starks said.
Starks said he did call police and they told him they'd send a detective over when one was available. He says as of 6 p.m. no one had come to speak with him.
