Five suspects charged with vehicle burglaries in Hoover

HOOVER, AL (WBRC) -

The Hoover Police Department says they have charged five suspects in connection to two separate incidents of vehicle burglaries.

The suspects were breaking into vehicles that were unlocked. One suspect told police "no one locks their cars in Hoover." Police say this suspect came to Hoover from Mississippi just for the purpose of burglarizing vehicles.

Those arrested in connection with cases on August 12, 2012 in the Ross Bridge area are:

-Brittany Hyche, 18, of McCalla, AL: five warrants, total bond $75,000

-Michael Allen Copen III, 24, of Tuscaloosa, AL: Five warrants, total bond $75,000. Copen is currently out on bond for the same type of crimes in Mississippi.

Those arrested in connection with cases on August 15, 2012 in the Riverhaven area are:

-Trammell D. Madison, 23, of Birmingham, AL: Six warrants, total bond $90,000

-Robert J. Burpo, 23, of Birmingham, AL: Six warrants, total bond $90,000

-Michael C. Goodgame, 21, of Birmingham, AL: Six warrants, total bond $90,000

All suspects are being held in the Jefferson County Jail.
