The "Wall Street Journal" says that a federal grand jury is looking at the relationship between Birmingham-based Regions Financial Corporation and an executive recruiting firm.
Documents obtained by the "Journal" show Atlanta-based Fiderion Group paid for golf trips for bank executives and also borrowed money from Regions.
The prosecutors and the jury are looking into whether these actions violated federal law.
