JEFFERSON COUNTY, AL (WBRC) -

Authorities chased a suspect through several Birmingham communities this evening, which ended with the suspect's vehicle crashing and flipping over.

The chase started in Bessemer and ended in Concord. Birmingham Police Chief A.C. Roper said Bessemer Police assisted the U.S. Marshal service apprehending a man wanted for numerous felony charges.

The chase went along I-20/59 in Birmingham, Fairfield, 19th Street in Bessemer, Hueytown Road, Warrior River Road and concluded on Lock 17 Road. The suspect lost control of his vehicle and crashed in the 9200 block of Lock 17 Road.

The driver and a female passenger were injured and taken to the hospital for treatment. Federal agents have not yet identified the suspect or warrants but check back to MyFoxAl.com for any additional information.
