Pedestrian struck by train in Chilton County

CHILTON COUNTY, AL (WBRC) -

The Chilton County Sheriff's Department says a woman was struck by a train on Wednesday. The incident happened at the intersection of County Road 63.

Deputies and Verbena Fire and Rescue were dispatched to the call at 2:29 a.m.

Investigators say a white female in her 20's was struck by a south bound CSX train. She was transported to a hospital in Birmingham.
