The Pelham Police Department says they have detained a juvenile over a bomb threat made to Pelham High School on Tuesday.
Lt. David Rushton with Pelham PD says they were notified of the bomb threat around 3:58 p.m. The threat indicated an explosive in a specific area of the school campus. Officers and fire department units responded and evacuated the area. Two explosive detection canines were used to search the area. No explosives were found.
Investigators were able to identify a juvenile suspect and locate him at his residence. The juvenile indicated that the threat was a hoax.
