JEFFERSON COUNTY, AL (WBRC) -

Jefferson County Sheriff's deputies are currently investigating a bank robbery in the Grayson Valley area.

The robbery occurred around 3:22 p.m. at the BB&T Bank branch on Chalkville Mountain Road according to Chief Deputy Randy Christian. He says that two black male suspects entered the bank wearing head to toe black and carrying handguns.

The suspects left the area in what was believed to be a Honda or Mazda SUV. Approximately 30 minutes later, deputies located a black Honda Odyssey at Grayson Trace Apartments. They have secured this vehicle and learned that it was reported stolen out of Atlanta.

Around 5:30 p.m. deputies determined that the robbery suspects dumped the stolen van at Grayson Trace Apartments and then fled in a gray or silver Ford Taurus.
