Before and after photos of Lindsey Miller (WBRC video)Weighing in at 289 pounds, Lindsey Miller was far too familiar with the risks of obesity. One day, though, she decided to do something about it.
The 36-year-old Chelsea mother began a weight loss program that would change her life forever.
Miller, over the course of 13 months, dropped 135 pounds and 135 inches thanks to help from Medifast Weight Control Centers. She appeared on Good Day Alabama to share her story.
"I was the typical overweight child, always dieting, always wanting to lose weight, and failing my whole life." Miller said. "I finally decided to make a change."
Miller, a mother of two, said she has struggled with a weight problem for her entire life. She knew, however, she need to live a healthier lifestyle... not only for herself, but also for her children and husband.
"It consumed every moment of my entire life," Miller said. "Stressing, worrying about my weight, and I finally decided I've got to make a change."
Miller says she plans to lose 20 more pounds. She now runs regularly and is in the process of training for a half marathon.
She hopes her story inspires others to make a change.
