Good Day Alabama traffic anchor/sports reporter, Britton Lynn, was born and raised in Dallas, Texas.
Before joining WBRC, she worked as a Texas Field Reporter for FOX Sports NEXT interviewing the nation's top recruits and doing reports with the FOX Sports Interactive analysts in Austin, Texas. In college, Britton served as an SEC Correspondent for ESPNU for three years. While there she worked as a sideline reporter, conducted exclusive player and coach interviews, covered press conferences and did reports for the network's "SEC Weekly" Show.
Britton has covered everything from the BCS National Championships, the ESPY Awards in LA, ESPN's 30for30--Pony Exe$$, to working as a news correspondent during the breaking coverage of the April 27th 2011 Tuscaloosa Tornado for Dallas television station Channel 33. Britton also has a passion for the NFL and has worked for both Dallas Cowboys Television's "Blue Star Media" and the Atlanta Falcons.
After graduating from the University of Alabama in May 2011 and being away from "Sweet Home Alabama" for a year and half she jumped at the opportunity to join the FOX6 team.
When she's not working in television, Britton is very passionate about Major League Baseball's RBI (Reviving Baseball in Inner Cities), a non-profit organization she worked with for two years alongside her church in Austin. Britton has worked with a number of high school ministries in the Austin area and hopes to get plugged into a place to serve in Birmingham, as well. You can find her running, paddle-boarding on the lake, kayaking with her dog, Rudy, and trying out new recipes for her food blog.
