Special meeting to give report on Birmingham BOE's finances

Birmingham School Board members are getting ready for a special-called meeting. The only item on Tuesday's agenda is a report from the state-appointed acting CFO, Dr. Ed Richardson.

Richardson is expected to give board members an update on the school board's finances, including how many students they lost from last year to this year and how that will affect their funding going forward.

The board may also hear more about an investigation into how it conducts its business. That is one of the reasons the state came in the first place.
