BIRMINGHAM, AL (WBRC) -
Radio host Paul Finebaum does not seem very appreciative of Auburn University's overtime win against the University of Louisiana-Monroe. In an interview on Good Day Alabama, Finebaum started up his discussion on the Tigers with a sarcastic "War Eagle. How about that? Auburn finally got a victory."
Finebaum stated that he felt that a loss to LA-Monroe would have been "the end of the world." The game mirrored the previous game for the Warhawks in which they upset a heavily-favored University of Arkansas in overtime. Finebaum says the big issue for Auburn this week is that they have to play one of the best teams in the nation after scraping by on Saturday.
As for Alabama, Paul Finebaum feels that Alabama fans are believing that their team may be one of the best of all time. The radio host says that this season appears to be a repeat of last year.
"That's the problem with what's going on, if you're a football fan, the season has essentially stopped and it's on to Baton Rouge on the first Saturday in November," said Finebaum.
