Birmingham man killed Saturday in motorcycle accident

The Jefferson County Coroner's Office confirms that a Birmingham man was killed Saturday in a motorcycle on I-65.

The accident happened around 10:30 p.m. According to authorities, the man was traveling northbound on I-65 near mile marker 262 when the motorcycle he was driving ran into the back of a van. The victim was ejected from the motorcycle.

Birmingham Police continue to investigate the accident and have not released the victim's name pending a positive identification.
