Birmingham burglary suspect arrested in north Georgia

The Birmingham Police Department says a suspect in the burglary of an office building was arrested in Georgia.

According to Sergeant Johnny Williams with Birmingham PD, officers in north Georgia stopped 34-year-old Donald Carter on Thursday. This was after the suspect had attempted to elude officers in a vehicle pursuit and was taken into custody after a foot pursuit.

Carter is facing four burglary warrants and two theft of property warrants in Birmingham. Williams says he is facing warrants in neighboring states and municipalities. Currently, Carter is being held in Georgia.
