
Chef Trent Bissell from Whole Foods's Ham and Brie sandwich with Apple-Slaw
Makes 4 sandwiches
½ pound Ham
2 tomato sliced
4 brie pieces
1 Honey crisp apple julienned
½ cup Napa cabbage julienned
¼ cup red cabbage julienned
½ red onion julienned
1 tablespoon thyme chopped
¼ cup apple cider vinegar
¼ cup honey
8 slices bread
Butter to spread on bread
Smoked salt to taste
Pepper to taste
Whisk together honey and vinegar and mix with cabbages, onion, apple, thyme, smoked salt and pepper. Spread butter on bread pieces, layer tomatoes, ham, brie and then the slaw. Put in pan on medium heat and brown on both sides. Finish in a 350 degree oven until cheese is melted and bread is toasted.
