Officials responded to Meridith Street North and Pope Lane early Wednesday evening after receiving a call that a body might be nearby. When deputies arrived, they found the body of an unidentified black female.
The body has been identified as 22-year-old Antanisha Dawson of Birmingham. Investigators say they believe Dawson may have been killed at another location and dumped at the location where her body was discovered.
